Account and Appearance Settings
How to set up your PriceLabs API key, choose your active listing, and switch between light and dark mode.
Overview
This page covers three of the simplest sections in Settings: your PriceLabs API key, your active listing, and the app's appearance. These are usually the first things you'll touch, and the ones you'll come back to least often once they're set.
Setting up your PriceLabs API key
Your PriceLabs API key is the one required credential Bnbflight needs to work. It's what allows the app to connect to your PriceLabs account and, through it, your Airbnb listing.
Here's how to set it up, step by step:
- Log in to your PriceLabs account (in your web browser, separately from Bnbflight).
- Go to Account, then Developer.
- Find your API key and copy it.
- Open Bnbflight and go to Settings.
- Find the PriceLabs API key section and paste your key in.
- Save it.
Once a valid key is saved, Bnbflight automatically pulls in your listing, adopts sensible starting defaults, trains its pricing model on your history, and runs its first pricing pass — you don't need to do anything else to get started. This process is covered in full on the Getting Started page.
How your key is protected
Your API key is encrypted on your own machine and never leaves it except to talk to PriceLabs directly — there is no cloud server sitting in between. For your own security, Bnbflight never displays your full saved key back to you; it only shows the last few characters, so you can confirm which key is saved without the whole thing being visible on screen.
If you ever need to update your key — for example, if you generate a new one in PriceLabs — simply paste the new one into the same field and save again.
Choosing your active listing
If your PriceLabs account manages more than one listing, the Active Listing setting is where you choose which one Bnbflight is currently working with. Everything in the app — the Home tab, Calendar, Recommendations, Market, Reservations, and Geomap — is scoped to a single listing at a time, so this setting determines which listing all of that data and all of those pricing decisions apply to.
If you only have one listing connected, Bnbflight simply manages that one, and there's nothing further to choose here.
Appearance: Light and Dark mode
Bnbflight lets you switch between two visual themes:
- Light — the default appearance.
- Dark — a darker color scheme, useful in low-light settings or simply if you prefer it.
You can switch between them at any time in Settings, and the change applies immediately across the whole app.
